- Twelve Days -
For Twelve Days he gifted her love
On the first day, he gave her crushed diamonds on a silver platter.
When day two approached, she received a ring condensed from the tears of angels.
Sometime on the third day, a white horse trotted in her new castle.
Just as the sun rose on the fourth day, he lined all the walls of the castle in fine velvet.
The sound of movers echoed on the fifth day, as a closet stretching from each end of the castle was filled.
Brush strokes cried throughout the sixth day, as paintings and portaits of her were commissioned.
On days seven and eight, he had them chase the sun and run from the moon.
With days nine and ten, a bed of plush cotton and feathers is what they slept on.
However, on days eleven and twelve, they fought tirelessly...he forgot to take out the trash.
