- Slay Me Now -
The stone castle walls are cold, but not as chilled as the air. I have fallen for a younger man and I can not bare to see myself age before him. As I walk towards the end of the castle's south wing, sunbeams penetrate through the red stained glass above me - casting my shoes aflame with the gold reflection staring back at me.
Through the sun's rays, I see the gray, stone chair at the end. I continue towards the chair until I feel a dark presence seated in front of me. Just as I hesitate to continue forward, I hear a man say, "stop" in a voice as iced as the walls surrounding us. Halting in my path, the presense is now behind me. Paralyzed in the moment, it removes my lace necklace and I feel nothing before the sharp injecting venom in my neck.
My love will never see me age before him. For now, it is me and the presence, forever youthful behind these castle walls.
