- Strange Day -
My alarm sounds and I miss the snooze button. To my sleep-induced surprise, my phone and night stand are on the other side of my bed. I sit upright and glance over my room, alarm still ringing. This isn't a half asleep dream.
This is real and my entire apartment is flipped. Stretching, I think to myself, "this is going to be a strange day". It was a long winter, but now it is finally spring and I am able to show some skin - Yay. I dress and head out of my building to find the day just keeps getting more strange. It is cold, as if it is winter. All the blossoms have retracted back and the city is overcast in winter blue. Figuring it will warm up as the day continues, I take my usual route to the train. Only today, this usual route is unusual. The streets are eerily quite, as if I was the only person left in the city. Judging by the way my day is going so far, I wouldn't be surprised to find out I was the only person in the world. Johnny will never believe me when I tell him.
